Meals on Wheels volunteers rewarded for hard work

Senior Link Midland took time to honor the people who help make their organization run successfully.

Volunteers for Meals on Wheels were thanked for all of their hard work today with a party.

Senior Link says because of the generous volunteers more than 500 meals are delivered to seniors in need every single day across the basin.

"Some people drive more than one day, others drive once a day. Of course we have wonderful corporate partners who are kind enough to let their employees come a deliver and represent their companies’" Senior Link Midland Board President John Moesch said.

The volunteers were given refreshments and t-shirts.

This week marks National Volunteer Appreciation Week.
