FINDING FAMILY: Meet Kelsy

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Kelsy is a boy in foster care who loves the outdoors and staying active, especially playing football.

He currently plays lineman but said if he keeps working out, he might become a wide receiver.

His dedication to fitness aligns with his career goals.

“A police officer,” Kelsy said when asked about his future plans. He wants to be a sheriff or work undercover.

Those who know him describe Kelsy as helpful and kind. He said he keeps his room clean and has been told he’s the best cleaner in the house.

Kelsy has a clear vision for the kind of family he wants.

“Like youtubers...they do fun stuff,” he said.

He said he would like a family that creates content, adding that he would rap Christian music.

Kelsy has a sister who is also on her own journey to finding a forever family. The right family for Kelsy will understand the importance of that sibling bond and make keeping that connection a priority.

“I had a plan to get adopted by my sister and my brother...but now my sister is getting adopted soon...so it’s just me and my brother,” he said.
