A&M football players to promote “Aggies for a Cause” during Maroon & White game
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M football players will sport special cleats during Saturday’s Maroon & White spring scrimmage at Kyle Field. Kickoff was moved to 11 a.m.
The custom-designed cleats represent different organizations and causes that are significant to the athletes as part of the “Aggies for a Cause” initiative. Quarterback Marcel Reed will support the Archer Foundation. Safety Marcus Ratcliffe will represent Walk Among Heroes, an organization he’s partnered with for the past couple of years to support veterans. Transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton will don special cleats for Jack and Jill of America.
Fans attending the spring game on Saturday can arrive early to see the custom cleats up close and learn more about each organization. The Aggies will give their cleats to their respective organizations following the game.
