Meet Tiffany, a 16-year-old in West Texas foster care, looking for a family

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - There are 435 children in the West Texas foster system. Of those, 89% are living in foster homes outside the county they grew up in, and 61% are living outside of West Texas entirely.
Tiffany is one of them.
About Tiffany
At 16, Tiffany is a junior in high school whose favorite subject is biology. She enjoys the outdoors — whether hiking or sitting outside in a tree listening to music — and competes in weight lifting, shot put, and discus. She also played volleyball and said she enjoys watching soccer.
When it comes to finding a home, she said she has one simple requirement.
“I’m not really picky about a family,” Tiffany said.
Looking ahead
After school, Tiffany said she would likely head to work if she had a job. As for her long-term future, she said she is still weighing her options.
“Honestly, I’m not sure yet, but some of my options are veterinary, military, and possibly I forgot what it was,” Tiffany said.
For now, she said she is focused on the present — and on finding a family to share the journey with.
