Baylor RB Bryson Washington to enter transfer portal

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Baylor’s star running back Bryson Washington is expected to hit the transfer portal.
On Sunday, Pete Nakos from On3 Sports reported that Washington will be looking for a new home in 2026.
The former Freshman All-American battled injury all throughout his 2025 campaign, but still rushed for 788 yards and six touchdowns on 154 carries. Washington’s 2025 season included three 100-plus yard performances, which were all consecutive in weeks two through four.
In 2024, Washington turned in one of the best freshman campaigns of any Baylor running back in program history, running for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 11 games. He also ran for 100 yards six times in 2024, a school record for freshman.
As of this past week, Washington was the last remaining everyday starter at a skill position from the 2025 depth chart. With Washington’s departure, Baylor will return less than 1,300 yards rushing and receiving combined.
Washington graduated from Franklin High School in 2023, winning back to back 3A Div. 1 State Championships in both his junior and senior year.
