Texas A&M’s Niblack declares for NFL Draft
COLLEGE STATION (KBTX) - Texas A&M transfer tight end Amari Niblack gave himself a chance to continue his football career at the next level, declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft Saturday on social media.
Niblack finished his final year of eligibility in Aggieland after transferring in from Texas.
“This chapter of my college football career is closed,” the post read. “I’m moving forward with purpose and confidence into the next chapter — pursuing my career at the next level and entering the 2026 NFL Draft.”
This season, Niblack caught five passes for 69 yards in 13 games, playing 127 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. He recorded 20-plus snap games in both the season opener against UTSA and the Aggies’ win over Utah State.
In his social media post, Niblack thanked A&M and Alabama for giving him opportunities to play. He began his career with the Crimson Tide, playing a career-high 358 snaps in his sophomore season. That year, he caught 20 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns.
However, he made no mention of the Longhorns in the post. In his one season in Austin, Niblack caught five passes for 33 yards in nine games played.
“I’m grateful to The University of Alabama & Texas A&M University for the opportunity to compete, grow, and represent these programs at the highest collegiate level,” he wrote. “Thank you to the coaches, staff, and my teammates for the standard, the grind, and the brotherhood.”
Niblack is the third Aggie to state their intention to put their name in the draft, including wide receiver KC Concepcion and cornerback Will Lee III.
